1. Carefully Selected Materials
Considering "cherishing existing clothing and, when manufacturing new clothing, doing so slowly with consideration for human rights and the environment,"
our materials include "non-standard scraps" that are left over from the manufacturing process when the warp threads are cut, and "international standard organic cotton" that is newly manufactured and certified by a third-party organization to be free from child labor and pesticides. The dyeing is done with natural indigo.Made from 100% cotton, these carefully selected materials are gentle on sensitive children's skin and can be worn comfortably all year round.

Rare Domestic Product
The self-sufficiency rate of clothing in Japan is approximately 2%. KasuRekids products are rare domestic products, carefully made in Japan from spinning to sewing. Domestic production also helps to reduce CO2 emissions during transportation.

Kurume Kasuri
Kurume Kasuri is a traditional Japanese textile produced mainly in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture.Kasuri refers to a characteristic weaving technique where patterns appear blurred when woven.
History
The origin of Kurume Kasuri dates back to the early 1800s. Around 1810, a young woman named Den Inoue accidentally discovered the kasuri technique, which then spread. Thanks to her ingenuity, Kurume Kasuri quickly gained popularity and became one of the main industries in the Kurume region.
Features
- Pattern: The most distinctive feature of Kurume Kasuri is its kasuri pattern. This technique creates patterns by dyeing threads, resulting in a unique beauty where the patterns appear blurred when woven.
- Handwork: Most of the Kurume Kasuri production process is done by hand, requiring advanced skills and time.
Manufacturing Process
- Dyeing: Before weaving, parts of the threads are resist-dyed and then dyed separately. This creates the pattern when woven.

Weaving: The dyed threads are carefully woven on a handloom. The intersection of warp and weft threads reveals the kasuri pattern.
Considering Our Past Activities
The fashion industry, from raw material procurement to disposal,has a high environmental impact throughout all processes,contributing to ocean pollution and global warming. It accounts for 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and harmful substances are released from used clothes exported to developing countries.
Global warming is worsening, and there is a possibility that the average temperature during the industrial revolution period will temporarily exceed 1.5°C within the next five years. Global warming is caused by human activities, and while we in developed and emerging countries are emitting large amounts of greenhouse gases, it is the people in weaker countries with low greenhouse gas emissions who are suffering significant impacts, including life-threatening droughts and heatwaves.
Therefore, we need to review our past activities.
