I am Mayumi Hasegawa of KasuRekids.
As someone living on this richly biodiverse planet, KasuRekids was founded with the desire to do what I can, when I can, to the best of my ability, and to use the life I've been given to enrich all life. It is an ethical fashion brand born from this sentiment.
As a mother of two, I have always tried to practice ethical consumption by using reuse services and flea market apps. However, I felt there was a problem with the scarcity of children's clothing brands in Japan that truly consider both the "environment" and "people."
Although I had no prior experience in the apparel industry, I have made gradual progress with the advice and cooperation of many people. Our concept is "to cherish and wear natural fiber clothing for a long time," and we aim to realize a circular economy by utilizing traditional Japanese crafts.
In my own life, I have switched to natural energy for electricity, drive an EV, and live in a highly airtight and insulated home. I aim for self-sufficiency through natural farming and compost food waste. I hope KasuRekids can also be one way to choose "conscious consumption."
I believe that choices made as an extension of daily life lead to actions for the next generation. I would be delighted if KasuRekids could help expand this cycle of mindful living, even if just a little.

My name is Mayumi Hasegawa, founder of KasuRekids — a sustainable children’s clothing brand born out of my desire to take meaningful action against climate change as someone who lives on this planet.
As a mother of two, I have long practiced ethical consumption through reuse services and flea market apps. Yet I realized that in Japan, there are still very few children's clothing brands that truly consider both the environment and people.
Though I had no experience in the apparel industry, I took a leap forward — supported by the advice and cooperation of many people who resonated with this mission.
With the theme "Cherish good things and wear them for a long time," KasuRekids aims to create a circular economy for children's wear using traditional Japanese textiles.
As a fellow resident of this richly biodiverse planet, I simply try to do what I can, when I can.
And I want to dedicate this life I’ve been given to helping life on Earth flourish.
That’s why KasuRekids is more than a clothing brand — it's a small step toward a more conscious and regenerative lifestyle.
In my own life, I’ve made changes such as switching to renewable energy, driving an EV, living in an energy-efficient home, practicing natural farming, and composting food waste.
I believe that the small choices we make in our daily lives can lead to meaningful change for future generations.
Through KasuRekids, I hope to share and expand that sense of mindful, circular living with others.
